The Kurdistan Teachers Union (KTU) has announced that it will demand compensation for Yazidi girls and women at the 10th International Conference on Education in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Oday al-Issawi, Deputy Teachers of Iraq and Ahmad Garmiani, President of the Kurdistan Teachers Union, are participating in the conference to discuss the most important issues of education and strengthen solidarity to defend teachers' rights and the right of the whole world to quality education.
Ahmad Garmyani, president of the Kurdistan Teachers Union (KTU), told Kurdistan24 that he participated in the 10th International Education Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as a representative of Kurdistan teachers among 1,200 educators around the world and promote relationships educationally.
Garmyani said the conference will last five days, in which discussions on women's and children's rights, climate change and environment, rising temperatures, health and schools, with the provision of money and budget to improve the level of education, among other aspects It is being educated.
"The Kurdistan Region will work with Iraq to join the international education program and provide financial assistance for education," he said. "Therefore, some international organizations that donate money for education have placed Iraq among the rich countries that do not need money." They also expressed their need for logistical and financial assistance to advance the education process. The conference also focused on public education and avoiding private education.
Ahmad Garmyani said: We have pointed out that teachers in the Kurdistan Region are late in their salaries and should be compensated, we highlighted that the issue of salary delay has had a negative impact on the education process and the quality of education in the Kurdistan Region.
“We will ask for financial assistance for Yazidi girls and women at the conference. We will present a statistic of the victims of ISIS at the hands of Yazidi girls and women in order to compensate them and rebuild their lives and reintegrate them into society,” he said.
